Townhouse: Architektonische Perle

In the centre of Frankfurt's pulsating city centre, near the exclusive "Zeil" shopping street, an old commercial building was demolished in a logistical inner-city masterstroke. In the midst of adjacent existing buildings, a sophisticated, centrally located residential and commercial building of high-density design was built. Pure luxury for the residents at least by a small park and a green oasis in the inner courtyard with a children's playground. The facade surface to the street side was erected with special design elements, using the comb-pull technique. A special and sustainable appearance of the entire building was wished for. Once the base coat of Baumit StyroporLeichtputz SL 67 and the all-over-surface fabric reinforcement had been applied, the facade surface was produced with offset comb-pull areas, surrounded by smoothly felted areas. A special emphasis deserve the craftmanship and the know-how for making the combing to form a uniform surface appearance over 4 storeys without interruptions. Among others, this is possible with Baumit multiContact MC 55 W. This 1 product was used to reinforce and felt the façade surface and to make the combing. The plaster surface harmoniously blends into the entire appearance, matching the balconies, windows and roof dormers. The coherent colour concept completes the overall impression of the urban residential and commercial building. The base plaster in the courtyard and the pertaining rear building was also applied with Baumit StyroporLeichtputz SL 67 and a full-surface fabric reinforcement with Baumit StarContakt KBM-Fix and StarTex Fein respectively. Then, the surfaces were finished with Baumit PremiumPrimer DG 27 and Baumit Fascina SEP 02 Scheibenputz/Disc Plaster.
